Talk about completely surprising us. We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for new music from Cassadee Pope for what seems like forever, and now the wait is finally over. “Take You Home” will be out on Friday 30 March 2018, which for some of us is only tomorrow.
She’s kept it quiet for this long, we’re so happy to see some promotion being published on her socials. She has a brand new cover photo and an absolutely stunning new profile picture that we fully adore.

These have also been updated on her other socials, including Twitter. However, that is not all. What we are most excited about, and what has really gained a buzz amongst her fans, is the promotional teaser video that she has posted on her socials.
The visual starts off with a snippet of the song as well as some scenes from the music video, to which we expect will be dropped on Friday too. The song sounds like typical Cassadee Pope only with a more edgy and passionate side to it – that’s what we got from that very short clip.
Not giving too much away, Cassadee Pope jumps in, talking to us about the song. She says: “‘Take You Home’ was one of the first songs I heard. A friend sent it to me and he was like ‘I think that this might be something you’ll be into. Let me know.’ and I fell in love with it right away. I love the lyric. It’s very bold. When we meet somebody and we’re feeling that connection, we’re kind of like, ‘I kind of want you to see where I come from. I would love for you to like, understand me better by seeing where I come from.’ So, that automatically reeled me in.”
She went on to say: “One of my best friends is a co-writer on it, Emily Weisband. Paul DiGiovanni is a writer on it, who was in the band Boys Like Girls, who I toured with in Hey Monday – crazy. And, Ben Hayslip, who’s an incredible writer in town. I just felt this connection on all fronts with the song.”

We are beyond excited for Friday now, we hope you are too. Cassadee Pope is mostly known for winning US version of The Voice. She went on to have a successful career in country music however before the talent show she was known by many for being the vocalist in pop-rock band Hey Monday. Her last release was 2016’s EP, titled “Summer” – what a wait it has been but we’re beyond sure it has been worth it.
