CATS has announced the majority of its cast for a brand-new UK and Ireland tour, which will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth on October 6th, 2026.
The new production is presented by Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals and follows the record-breaking run of the Cats revival at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. Directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie, the London production continues until September 19th.
The touring cast will feature Fin Adams as Alonzo, Kalisha Amaris as Old Deuteronomy, Carla Bertran as Electra and co-dance captain, Elliot Broadfoot as Bustopher Jones/Gus and Matthew Caputo as Skimbleshanks.
The company also includes Josie Chambers-Sims as Syllabub, Briana Craig as Rumpleteazer, Katie Dunsden as Bombalurina, Joshua-Samuel Freeman as Tumblebrutus, Regan Garcia as Pouncival, Hannah Joseph as Victoria, Taziva-Faye Katsande as Tantomile, Diante Lodge as Macavity, Owen McHugh as George, Danny Nattrass as Mungojerrie and Millie O’Connell as Demeter.
Andrew Parfitt will play Coricopat, while Lucie-Mae Sumner takes on Jellylorum/Griddlebone, Laura Tyrer plays Jennyanydots/Gumbie Cat, Jaydon Vijn is Rum Tum Tugger, Jack Wilcox is Munkustrap, Jet Yau is Mr Mistoffelees and Patricia Zhou is Cassandra.
The company is completed by a number of offstage swings, including Grace Burrows, Aaron Jenkins, Shona Mairi Masson, Dean Rickards, Nathan Rigg and Taela Yeomans-Brown, who will also serve as co-dance captain.
Casting for the iconic role of Grizabella will be announced later this year.
Director and choreographer McOnie said: “Cats has always celebrated the unique talents of its performers, and I can’t wait for audiences across the country to experience this company’s brilliance in this brand-new production.”
He added: “Each of these cast members will play their own special part in creating animalistic harmony under the Jellicle Moon. It’s going to be quite an adventure, and we look forward to welcoming you to join us.”
Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on T S Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the musical will travel across the UK and Ireland following its Plymouth opening.
The tour will visit Hull, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Llandudno, Glasgow, Nottingham, Canterbury, Sunderland, Aberdeen, Norwich, Belfast, Dublin, Oxford, Southampton, Edinburgh, Bradford, Liverpool, Woking, Cardiff, Milton Keynes and Newcastle, with performances scheduled through to June 2027.
The production’s creative team includes set, costume and wigs designer Sami Fendall, lighting designer Jessica Hung Han Yun, sound designer Adam Fisher, makeup designer Guy Common, intimacy director Ingrid Mackinnon, voice coach Fiona McDougal, associate director and choreographer Ebony Molina, fight director Kev McCurdy, casting director Will Burton and musical supervisor Alex Parker.
Also joining the creative team are associate lighting designer Lucy Adams, resident director and choreographer Josh Baker, associate set designer Tim Blazdell, associate sound designer Ollie Durrant, associate wigs and hair designer and supervisor Georgia Nosal and musical director Geraint Owen.
With its London revival continuing to draw audiences before embarking on its national journey, the new tour will give fans across the UK and Ireland the chance to experience Cats live on stage through 2027.
