    Here at CelebMix, we love introducing our readers to new, up and coming talent. In this article, we introduce you to singer and song-writer Louise Distras.

    Louise has recently released her new single ‘Street Revolution,’ with a music video also accompanying the track. The single has a much deeper meaning, an inspirational track for the younger generation. The track is described as being “an anthem for the new underground movement of working class kids, rising together through music to fight for their future.”

    In addition to the release of the new single and music video, Louise will be heading out on a tour in early 2019, performing in venues across the UK, further to the release of her upcoming EP ‘Street Revolution,’ set for release on 11 January. Poignantly, her tour will be raising money for charities Crisis Charity and Musicians Against Homelessness. Her ‘Street Revolution UK Tour’ dates are as follows:

    Thursday 17 January 2019 – Cambridge, Portland Arms;

    Friday 18 January 2019 – Nottingham, The Bodega;

    Wednesday 23 January 2019 – Leeds, Key Club;

    Thursday 24 January 2019 – Newcastle, Cluny 2;

    Friday 25 January 2019 – Guildford, The Boileroom;

    Saturday 26 January 2019 – Norwich, Waterfront Studio;

    Sunday 27 January 2019 – Portsmouth, Edge of The Wedge;

    Tuesday 29 January 2019 – Leicester, Firebug;

    Thursday 31 January 2019 – Bishops Stortford, The Half Moon;

    Saturday 2 Feburary 2019 – Wolverhampton, Slade Rooms.

    Tickets for the ‘Street Revolution UK Tour’ can be bought here.

    Louise Distras’ music combines powerful and direct messages, with a punk pop sound, inevitably putting Louise at the forefront of the UK’s continually rising punk scene.

    Additionally, Louise has been involved in and shared her views on different social issues, appearing on the likes of Channel 4, BBC Radio 1 and more.

    Teaming up with Musicians Against Homelessness, Louise Distras will be continue to work with this charity in the coming months. Working with this charity has a poignant meaning for Louise, as when she was a teenager, Louise found herself to unfortunately be homeless. She has since truly picked herself back up and found her path, with music being at the core and her now giving something back to the music industry.

    More music from Louise Distras is confirmed for 2019 – definitely one to look out for and we can’t wait to hear more from her!
