This weekend saw the return of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola at London’s O2 Arena.
Night two of the 10th annual sell-out event saw performances from chart-topping megastar Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Sigala, The Script, Mabel, Louisa Johnson, James Hype, Matt Terry, The Chainsmokers, Stefflon Don, Liam Payne and Big Shaq. Phew.
CelebMix headed backstage at the O2 to catch up with the performers, where 19-year-old Louisa Johnson, 2015’s X Factor winner, talked all things fame, her good friend Olly Murs and, erm, dolphins?
On dealing with fame at such a young age.
I just try not to think about it, really. I still make mistakes and stuff and maybe say something out of turn. I just make sure that I’m knowledged on everything, if that’s the right word to use. I just try not to think about it too much. I just try to focus on myself and my career. People will always have something to say so… it is what it is.
On those Olly Murs and Melanie Sykes relationship rumours.
We don’t speak on them kind of terms. I feel a bit rude asking about his love life. I literally don’t know though. I don’t even know where it came from. Was there like an article or something?
Apparently it’s been going on for a year?
Oh really? I think I would know. I don’t wanna say ‘cos I don’t know.
On adopting a dolphin.
I adopted this dolphin. I’ve got one, it’s called Rainbow. I actually have. I had one called Jigsaw and it swam away somewhere and it got lost, so I had to get a new one called Rainbow.
On her plans over Christmas.
My plans over Christmas are to do absolutely nothing. I’m just really looking forward to family time and just chilling out watching loads of films. And the Christmas dinner, I’m really excited for that. Can’t stop thinking about it.
On her New Year’s Resolutions.
I think just to try and be more positive. I’m gonna be 20 next year so I’m not really technically allowed to moan anymore, ‘cos I can’t be a moany teenage. So, maybe not moan.
Louisa performed a fantastic set in front of the O2 Arena’s 20,000 guests, singing her hits ‘Tears’, ‘Best Behaviour’, ‘So Good’ and ‘Unpredictable’.
