With the start of a New Year comes the start of a brand new series of Celebrity Big Brother, and it’s shaping up to be a good one!
Only Six months after The Apprentice hunk James Hill took the crown, the house is full once again with a whole host of famous faces, a record 16 of them, trying to take it off him!
The line-up didn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who’s being following the rumours, with the likes of Ex-Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davies, Ex-Eastender John Partridge and and Ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rihanoff making their grand entrances.
It especially comes as no surprise to those who read the Daily Star‘s rumoured line up that they published the other day, which has proven to be pretty accurate.
Gemma Collins was first in, best known for throwing multiple tantrums and leaving the I’m a Celebrity jungle within days, as well as a reality show veteran thanks to her role on TOWIE. Hopefully her second attempt at this kind of show will prove better (and longer) than the last!
As rumoured, Daniella Westbrook was closely followed by her friend Christopher Maloney from X Factor, but the two have began touting rumours of a nasty feud between them, which she mentioned in her interview and on Twitter earlier in the day, and he mentioned in his introductory VT. However, since this is the first we’ve ever heard of this, and the fact that neither of them had mentioned it previously, left a lot of people questioning the truth of it, and wondering whether the pair were already trying their best to secure themselves extra airtime.
“People might know be from Ex on the beach” said Megan Mckenna. Most probably won’t know her at all, but she looks like she’s going to be a fun and explosive housemate regardless, and she looked absolutely amazing in her entrance dress!
Whilst most housemates were nervous during their interviews with host Emma Willis, David Gest greeted her with familiarity and stole the show at once! Gest, who has been a long sought after housemate for the Channel 5 show, was a contestant on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! the same year that Emma’s husband, Matt, became King of the Jungle, and the host confessed on the Big Brother companion show Bit on the Side that Gest was a regular at her house in the aftermath of his jungle experience. Willis said that David Gest and Matt became “Joined at the hip” after leaving the jungle, and she promised he’d be a great addition to this years lineup!
Big Brother brought out the twists straight away this year, with everything from the couch to the champange locked away, two housemates (Darren Day and John Partridge) locked in exile inside a crate and with only gruel for food, and to make matters worse they were then forced by Big Brother to chose 3 housemates to lose their suitcases!
Joining them in the house are Angie Bowie, Irish Model Jeremy McConnell, Kim Kardashian’s BFF Jonathan Cheban, Nancy Dell’olio, Geordie Shore’s Scotty T, American Reality Star Tiffany Pollard and controversial UKIP MP Winston McKenzie.
All 16 of them are fighting for the crown and the chance to follow James Hill, Charlotte Crosby and Rylan Clarke in to the exclusive Celebrity Big Brother Winners club, but with the first eviction taking place on Friday night, this year the housemates won’t have anytime to settle in before Big Brother starts kicking them out!
