Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is to be honoured for charity work at this years Global Gift Gala.
Over the years, kind hearted Cheryl has dedicated her time to many charitable projects, and taken part in lots of different fundraising challenges.
Back in 2009 she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with a host of other celebrities to raise money for Red Nose Day, and the singer has taken part in many T.V appeals for different charities over the years.

Our Chezza has also been involved in charity singles for Children In Need as part of the girl group Girls Aloud, raising thousands of pounds for the charity.

The ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ singer has also helped promote many different charities across the UK.
And last year the charitable star launched her very own charity, The Cheryl’s Trust, in partnership with The Prince’s Trust, which has been set up by Cheryl to help disadvantaged, and unemployed young people living in the North East of England.

Over the next 12 months Cheryl plans to raise £2 million for her trust, with the money going towards the cost of building and running a multimedia youth centre in the heart of the Newcastle city centre, which will be there to help the young people of the city get their lives on track and give them the confidence to fulfil their potential.
The proud Geordie also hopes to open the centre’s all across the UK in the next few years.
And now the generous star is being recognised for her extensive charity work, as she is being awarded the Global Gift Philanthropist award.
The award will be presented to Cheryl on May 9th at the Four Seasons Hotel Paris George V.
Congratulations Cheryl, thank you for being such an inspiring and generous woman.
