It has been four long years since Geordie pop princess Cheryl last released an album, the top-ten hit ‘Only Human’. Since then the former Girls Aloud star has become a mother for the first time, to a little boy named Bear who will turn 1 on March 22nd.
Being a mother as understandably kept the brunette beauty very busy but the 34-year-old is officially making music and has been in the recording studio with a number of Afrobeat stars signalling a new sound for her music comeback later this year.
Cheryl has been working with Afrobeat producers Team Salut and fellow stars of the genre Sigma have not ruled out working with the popstar stating “never say never” about a possible collaboration.

And it has now been revealed that the singer who is working with award winning producer Naughty Boy for her upcoming fifth studio album, has also been in the studio with recent X Factor winners Rak-Su. Cheryl helped Simon Cowell pick the band for live-shows during Judges Houses last year.
It looks like Chezza’s next LP could be a fusion of genres including Pop and Afrobeats making for a dancehall banger of a record.
