Chris Bourne is an Essex based artist. He’s had fame with Hollywood Ending; written for 5 Seconds of Summer; recorded with older brother James, from Busted; and now, he’s dropped his second EP, “In Your Arms”.
Released on 1 March 2017, “In Your Arms” launched onto the UK iTunes chart at number 11. Chris Bourne is an independent artist funding the album himself from merchandise, his previous tour, and his “Young Love Relapse” EP. This EP was produced largely with Chris’ good friend Jarvis Anderson – Iglu and Hartley front-man. Chris recorded this EP, not only in Los Angeles, but also in his home in Southend-On-Sea.

The EP contains four tracks. The first track is “Lemonade”, it’s an extremely catchy summer song. The song creates an image of driving in a convertible, alongside LA’s strip of beaches, sipping lemonade with your crush. The bass in this song is heavily featured; it’s a lovely nod to Chris’ Hollywood Ending days.
“I Know A Place” is another happy song. It has a more uptempo dance feel than the other songs on the EP. The song itself is all about knowing a place where you can dance and cut loose. This track provides that free feeling. This will be a fan-favourite on Chris Bourne’s Identity Tour, next month.
Third track, “Catfight!”, is possibly one of the best songs of 2017, so far. It has an 80’s vibe running through – think Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” mixed in with the Ghostbusters theme tune. It’s a brilliant anthem all about attitude. It’s defiantly a song that needs to be played loud.
The title track, “In Your Arms”, is a beautifully written love song, all about being in your lover’s arms. It’s smooth and slower than the rest of the EP. Chris’ vocals are incredible on this track. There is a pure passion running through the song. It’s a fantastic title track, and again, this could be a winner on Chris’ tour.
We are obsessed with Chris Bourne’s latest EP, it certainly has the summer vibe we’ve been craving. The next year is going to be incredible for Chris Bourne, especially if “In Your Arms” is anything to go by.
