Captain America star Chris Evans is the latest celebrity to sign up to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story.
On May 10, Chris will read Even Superheroes Have Bad Days, by Shelly Becker and Eda Kaban. The book aims to help children cope when they’re feeling overwhelmed.
The BBC reports that Chris will tell the tale of how they can channel their energies as “all children have trouble getting a grip on their emotions, sometimes even young superheroes!”
Speaking about the show, Chris said: “I’m honoured to be the next guest on CBeebies Bedtime Stories which is such a special show. I hope families have as much fun watching as I had reading!”
CBeebies Bedtime Story is a popular segment on the CBeebies channel, in which a different celebrity reads a bedtime story each night. Chris joins a whole host of celebrities who have already presented a bedtime story. These include David Tennant, Tim Peake, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Warwick Davis, Nadiya Hussain, and of course, Tom Hardy. In fact, Tom has had the honour of reading a CBeebies Bedtime Story on three separate occasions, after proving to be very popular…we wonder why!
If a bedtime story isn’t your thing, you’ll also be able to catch Chris Evans on the big screen again very soon. His new film Gifted, about an intellectually gifted 7-year-old who gets caught up in a custody battle between her uncle and grandmother, will be released in UK cinemas on June 16.
Catch Chris’ Bedtime Story on CBeebies at 6.50pm on Wednesday May 10.
