‘Fall In Line’ is taken from Christina’s forthcoming album Liberation. Speaking about the duet with Billboard, Christina said: “We went through a few names of women. I needed a belty singer, and she took it to the next level. I almost cried when I first heard her on the record.”
Demi has made no secret of the fact that Christina is one of her biggest musical inspirations, therefore this collaboration is bound to be incredibly special. Rumours of the duet first came about in February when Demi told Billboard that she’d done “a collaboration with one of my biggest idols. I can’t give away who it is yet, but you’ll find out soon.”
The Billboard Music Awards takes place on Sunday, May 20, live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Also confirmed to perform on the evening are BTS, Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, John Legend, and host Kelly Clarkson. This year’s Icon Award winner Janet Jackson will also be delivering a special performance.
Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars lead this year’s nominations with 15 each.
