Filled with all original Christmas-esque songs, Ariana Grande released a special EP that fuses and brings back the soulful and R&B sound off her debut album Yours Truly.
‘Wit It This Christmas’ gives off a ‘Honeymoon Avenue’ feeling followed by slight Christmas jingles in the background. There’s even a small string interlude and quite honestly makes a wonderful ending.
‘December’ continues the hip-hop Christmas feeling followed by the beautiful and enchanting ‘Not Just One For Christmas’ that quite eerily sounds like it came from a Disney princess film.
‘True Love’ is layered overall with small jingle trinkets while ‘Winter Things’ comes on and is defintely a favorite followed by ‘Wit It This Christmas’. A Colbie Caillat, Meghan Trainor, Jason Mraz-ish inspired mash-up that comes with ukulele and a Christmas In The Sand stamp.
We don’t want to give away all the musical details so we’ll let you decide your opinion.
Overall while the album isn’t necessarily your typical traditional Christmas album, it’s soulful mixture let’s it come off fun and original.
