Fresh from unveiling their debut single ‘Dangerous’, up-and-coming band Club Drive have now released a lyric video for the track.
The lyric video is an edgy and artistic offering, which perfectly complements the lyrical sentiments and contemporary feel of the track. During the video, we see the band in the streets of London in a series of slow motion and freeze frame shots, with scenes of blazing fires. With the lyrics appearing over the scenes in a graffiti style, Club Drive make it super easy for us to sing-along to their catchy debut single.
‘Dangerous’ forms part of their four-track EP, which is due for release on September 9. The EP is packed with strong doses of melody, mature song writing and made-for-radio choruses. As well as ‘Dangerous’, the other songs on the EP include ‘Leaving’, which offers up Maroon 5-tinged grooves, and ‘Overthrown’ which showcases the band’s softer side. To finish it off, you will be treated to a stunning acoustic version of their track ‘What Happened’.
There is set to be something for everyone on the EP, and Club Drive will be launching it at a special intimate launch show at The Islington, London on September 9. The launch will give those attending a chance to get up close and personal with the band in a small venue. A limited number of tickets remain, which can be purchased here (tickets also include a one off physical copy of the EP).
If you can’t make the EP launch but want to catch the boys live, then head down to Fusion Festival this weekend. Club Drive will bring their impressive live show to the main stage at Liverpool’s Otterspool Promenade on Sunday September 4. They will be playing alongside the likes of Olly Murs, The Vamps and Busted.
We recently spoke to lead singer Aaron Trowbridge ahead of their EP release. Don’t forget to check out the interview here.
