Guitar-pop band Club Drive have unveiled the music video for their latest single ‘Voyager’.
Despite being an upbeat offering, the song’s video and lyrics give us plenty to think about. Inspired by an encounter whilst on tour, the visual for ‘Voyager’ documents a day in the life of a homeless man, which reflects the song’s lyrical themes.
We see the struggles a homeless person faces on a daily basis, but in a positive turn of events, the visual also shows the importance of compassion from others. A lady walks past the homeless man before returning with a hot drink, opting to sit down for a chat too. The simple act of kindness provides a moment of happiness for the man despite his situation, proving how powerful a small gesture can be.

The visual comes shortly after Club Drive completed a support slot on Marianas Trench’s highly successful UK tour. The band had the opportunity to perform in some of their biggest venues to date, including an awesome set at London’s KOKO.
Earlier this year, Club Drive released ‘Spare Time’, which received incredible support from BBC Radio 1. After being chosen as the station’s Introducing track, it received daily spins on each and every one of the station’s shows. ‘Voyager’ looks set to follow in the footsteps of ‘Spare Time’, having already received support from Adele Roberts.
If you fancy catching the band live this summer, they’ll be heading out on the festival circuit. Among the already confirmed shows are Lovebox Festival and a main stage slot at Standon Calling.
