For Stop Cyberbullying Day 2021, Co. by Colgate has announced they have partnered with our friends at The Cybersmile Foundation to raise awareness around online bullying and its impact on Gen-Z.
As a purpose-driven brand founded on the values of inclusivity and authentic self-expression, they believe everyone should be able to express themselves freely. Yet, cyberbullying has risen in the last year and the effects of online bullying can be especially challenging for Gen-Z, who spend more time on social media. Now, CO. by Colgate and The Cybersmile Foundation have joined forces to address this critical issue.
Together they will release a Cybersmile report which will be sponsored by CO. by Colgate, titled “The State of Play Report: Gen Z & Identity Based Cyberbullying.”
The report will center on the prevalence and emotional impact cyberbullying has on Gen-Z, with a particular focus on the intersection of cyberbullying, individual identity, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
Findings from the report will inform a series of best-practice recommendations for dealing with cyberbullying across social media platforms to foster safe and inclusive communities.
To launch the partnership, CO. by Colgate will donate $1 for every product purchased in 2021 to The Cybersmile Foundation, committing to a minimum donation of $200,000.
