We have done a lot of show reviews in the past. So when we had the opportunity to join Bruno Mars on his world tour, we had high expectations. We were expecting the night to be pure magic. And boy did Bruno Mars deliver.
On Sunday, August 13th, we traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the 24K Magic World Tour. Bruno Mars’ set was taking place at the famous Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the same location where we attended and reviewed Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour last year.

As we walked up the steps to wait in the lines crowding the venue entrance, we surveyed the many types of people ready to rock out with the pop legend. We found people of all races, genders, and ages which proves to us that Bruno Mars really is a timeless musician. His music has been popular for decades and his eclectic fan base has only grown. The way he is able to appeal to all audiences is very impressive to say the least.
The show started just after 8 o’clock (central time) and Camila Cabello was the first to hit the stage. She sang all of her solo career hits including “OMG”, “Bad Things”, “Know No Better”, “Crying In The Club”, “Inside Out”, and “I’ll Never Be The Same”. Our favorite was her spicy performance of one of her new singles, “Havana”. Camila Cabello was overall the perfect way the start off the already unforgettable night.

Bruno Mars hit the stage about an hour after Camila’s set, starting off the show with “Finesse”, one of the nine songs off his most recent album. Throughout the show he sang every song off of 24K Magic, and he threw it back to his older albums and performed “Runaway Baby”, “Treasure”, “Marry You”, “When I Was Your Man”, “Uptown Funk”, and “Just The Way You Are”.
Our favorites included “Locked Out Of Heaven” and the intimate “Versace On The Floor”; which he dropped a video for that day, featuring Zendaya.
All through the night, we especially loved how each of his songs did not sound like the recorded version. In a good way. Nobody wants to come to a concert and hear the exact track that they could hear played and sang the same way on iTunes. The crowd wants a performance. They want to experience their favorite songs live and be surprised by things they haven’t even heard before. Moments like that make a show special.
Bruno pleased his whole audience by doing different renditions of his most classic classic songs. His almost rock influenced version of Grenade had us pulling out our phones to savor the moment.
And do not think we are forgetting to talk about the dancing. For 31 years old, Bruno Mars is dancing like he is 15 again. The way he glides across the stage is so smooth and we have no idea how he is able to grove his body in the way he does. And with the addition of his best friends and bandmates, also known as the Hooligans, Bruno had the whole crowd dancing along.
The vibe of Mars’ show is something we have never experienced before. We almost felt at home sitting in the screaming crowd. Every one of Bruno’s songs, new or old, brought back memories to us. For example, listening to “Just The Way You Are” brings back so many memories for many different people; and that is the beauty of Mars’ music. Bruno Mars’ music is special because its generational. It is truly timeless. Unforgettable. And that is what makes his tour so much more appealing.
Overall, we had such a fun night and we encourage every one of our readers to get tickets for any of his upcoming tour dates. We can tell the 24K Magic World Tour will be one of the biggest tours this year, and trust us, you do not want to miss it.
