On June 29th, Selena Gomez performed at the Marcus Amphitheater at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We were very blessed to be able to attend the eighth to last show of the United States/Canada leg of the Revival Tour.

Throughout the night, Selena had fans up on their feet, singing, and dancing to all of her hit songs. Her sweet personality was enough to leave a smile on everyone’s faces as the show ended. We can tell you, with complete confidence, that we left the concert smiling ear to ear. Here’s how our night went down.

After a 30 minute, crowded bus ride to the Summerfest grounds, we arrived at the Marcus Amphitheater. Unlike many of her other venues, the Amphitheater had a much more intimate vibe. We were lucky enough to have seats very close to all the action that went down throughout the night.

There were two opening acts; Bahari and DNCE. Bahari was the first to hit the stage and they sang multiple songs from their recently released, debut EP such as “Dancing In The Sun” and “Altar Of The Sun”. They also sang a cover of “Ride” by Twenty One Pilots.

Next to hit the stage was DNCE. They sang multiple songs as well, including their hit singles “Toothbrush” and “Cake By The Ocean”. Their energy was through the roof! Our feet were sore from jumping, even before the concert started.

Selena finally hit the stage at around 9:30pm. She sang a short version of “Revival”, then continued to sing her popular single, “Same Old Love”. As stated in past interviews, Selena feels she has so much more confidence in herself now than in the past. You could definitely tell as soon as she set foot on stage. The way she walked, the way she looked at the crowd, and the way she sang, all exemplified her passion for singing, her love for her fans, and her love for herself.

Selena then kept the energy going with her songs, “Sober”, “Good For You”, “Survivors”, and “Hands To Myself”, all off her most recent album, Revival. She also sang many of her older songs, which she liked to introduce as, “… a bit of a TBT for you guys!”. These songs included, “Come And Get It”, “Slow Down”, and “I Love You Like A Love Song”.

We especially loved when Selena sang, “Who Says”. During that song, her vocals were so pure and you could really tell how much she cares for each and every one of her fans. We also loved when she slowed it down and sang “Nobody”, another song from her newest album.

Selena then played some new material which goes by the name of “Feel Me”. The new song had a fast tempo and a beat that had the whole crowd movin’ and groovin’. Even though the concert was more than half way over, the amphitheater was still overflowing with excitement for each and every song.

The atmosphere then shifted from emotional to exhilarating as two gigantic roses emerged from the stage. Her next songs had a latin vibe to them. She sang “Me & My Girls”, “Me & The Rhythm”, and “Body Heat”. The big screen even showed her face painted as a skull, which was the inspiration for some of her tour merchandise.

Selena made one final outfit change and came back on stage to sing a cover of “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics. To end the concert, she sang “Kill Em With Kindness” and “I Want You To Know”. Throughout the concert her dancers proved to be extremely talented and they kept the crowd going the whole night. We were winded by the end of the show from all of our singing, screaming, and awkward dancing. So, we feel the need to applaud their endurance.

Selena exited the stage just as she entered, by singing a upbeat version of “Revival”. Pink confetti surrounded us as Selena and her dancers took their final bows and said their goodbyes. Even though the concert was over, we were so happy that we bought tickets for the Revival Tour. We had so much fun and Selena put on such an incredible show.
