Rising pop artist CYN has released “Terrible Ideas,” a relatable ode to falling in love too quickly yet enjoying every second of it. The single shows a significant shift in sound in comparison to her past songs, revealing an edgier and darker side to the young artist.
“Terrible Ideas” is the first taste of what’s to come from CYN since the release of “I’ll Still Have Me,” which has over 10 million global streams. CYN reveals, “This song sounds different than anything else I’ve released because I continue to be confident enough to write things that are true to me in the moment, from the lyrics to the production.”
With a contagious, hands-in-the-air chorus, “I feel so alive, want you faster on the 405/ Not scared to die/ We get off on all these terrible ideas,” this is an exciting artist to look forward to. Listen to “Terrible Ideas” below:
Katy Perry signed CYN to Unsub Records in 2016 after hearing her single “Only With You.” Between then and now, CYN joined British trio Years & Years on a 19-city North American Tour and several stops with Sigrid and Katy Perry. Her upcoming tour date is on April 26 in San Francisco, CA with Anna of The North.
