American country duo Dan + Shay have just released the music video for their latest single, “How Not To”. It’s the second single to be released from the duo’s album Obsessed. The album reached number two on the US Country Chart after its release. It also charted well overseas, hitting the number one spot on the UK Country Chart.
The song was written by Paul DiGiovanni, Adam Hambrick and Kevin Bard. As well as this, it is only one of two songs which the duo did not co-write on the album. The song is a mid-tempo ballad which describes the struggle in moving on after a break-up.
The video stars Pierson Fode as Noah and Katie Stevens as Sophie, two people who share an instant connection after meeting at a recovery group for alcoholics. It then goes on to show how they both got to this point in their lives, turning to alcohol to get them through the day. Towards the end of the video, however, we see Noah and Katie as a happy couple who have just reached one year of sobriety.
