Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall have welcomed their first child.
Breaking the news on social media, Dec revealed that Ali had given birth to a baby girl called Isla Elizabeth Anne just after 9am this morning (September 1). He added, “mother and daughter both doing well. Dad is head over heels!”

The couple confirmed that they were expecting their first child together back in March after the news broke across several newspapers.
Sharing a picture from their wedding day, Dec tweeted: “Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages. The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it. D x.”

Dec and Ali have been married since August 2015. The couple got engaged in November 2014 after dating for a year, although they had previously worked together for over a decade with Ali being Dec’s former manager.
In November, Dec will be heading out to the Australian jungle for the new series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! He will be joined by Holly Willoughby, who will fill in for Ant McPartlin as he continues his extended break from presenting duties.
