Move over, “High School Musical” – there’s a new star in Vanessa Hudgens ‘ life! The 35-year-old actress and her husband, pro baseball player Cole Tucker, just hit a major home run with the arrival of their first child. Vanessa took to Instagram on the Fourth of July to share the joyous news, but not without a side of sass aimed at the paparazzi.
Celebrating both the birth of their baby and Cole’s 28th birthday, Vanessa couldn’t contain her excitement. However, the paparazzi decided to play spoiler. “We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
“Despite all of that, mom, dad, and baby are happy and healthy.” TMZ was one of the first outlets to report that the “High School Musical” alum had given birth. Their story included the paparazzi photos.
The love story between Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker is nothing short of a rom-com. Picture this: a Zoom meditation session, led by Jay Shetty, during the pandemic, where the couple first locked eyes (virtually, of course). Vanessa made the first move and slid into his DMs; the rest is history!

The pair first went public with their relationship in 2020, following Vanessa’s split from Austin Butler. They announced their engagement in Paris, the city of love, and sealed the deal with a dreamy wedding. Their wedding last December in Tulum, Mexico, was a fairytale affair, with vows exchanged in front of their closest friends and family.

As new parents, Vanessa and Cole are over the moon. “Vanessa is glowing and embracing this new chapter. She couldn’t be happier during this time,” a source told ET before the birth. “She can’t wait to be a mom and wants to provide and set a positive example for her little one. She is such a hands-on person in everything she does and this will undoubtedly translate into her parenting style. Cole has been catering to her every need. He’s a family man and is actively involved. He wants to be the best dad he can be. This is a dream come true for both of them. They are still living on cloud nine and loving married life.”
