Noise-pop duo Sleigh Bells took to Twitter on Monday to call Demi Lovato out for allegedly sampling their tracks without permission. Lovato has been accused of using snippets of Sleigh Bells’ ‘Riot Rhythm’ and ‘Infinity Guitars’ on her track ‘Stars.’ ‘Stars’ appears as a bonus track on Lovato’s newest album Confident. Both ‘Riot Rhythm’ and ‘Infinity Guitars’ feature on Sleigh Bells’ debut Treats.
Although Sleigh Bells claim to be “flattered” by the use of their tracks, it’s clear the duo weren’t impressed by Lovato’s lack of contact. They wrote:

This isn’t the first time Lovato has been accused of ripping off other artists. Earlier this year, people claimed that Lovato’s single ‘Cool for The Summer’ sounded very similar to Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’ and Jessie J’s ‘Domino.’ Lovato was quick to respond to the critics, using Twitter to express how her track’s lyrics “sound nothing like it and with all the advances we’ve made in the LGBT community… I think more than one female can kiss a girl and like it.”
Demi Lovato has yet to comment on the Sleigh Bells accusation, but what do you think?
