Demi Lovato appears on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

On Monday (September 18), Demi Lovato made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

During her chat with Jimmy, the songstress revealed more about the inspiration behind the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ music video. Whilst we already know that she wanted to recreate a house party vibe, Demi spoke about the particular party which encouraged the idea.

“One day I was like, ‘I want to have people over … I’m newly single, I want to meet people,'” said Demi. She called her friend Dave-O, who invited rappers Snoop Dogg, French Montana and Wiz Khalifa. “All these people were there and I was like, ‘I just wanted a couple people over to hang out!’ And all of a sudden, my house was filled with pot smoke everywhere,” she recalled.

“I was like, ‘No smoking inside, get out, get out!’ But I wasn’t going to tell Snoop not to smoke in my house. I was like, ‘OK Snoop, do what you want,'” Demi laughed. It turns out that the party had a lasting effect, as in the morning Demi’s chef came in and said “‘It smells like Snoop Dogg was here,'” to which she replied, “‘I was like, ‘No, he literally was!'”

Demi also spoke about her Fabletics collection and revealed how she met owner Kate Hudson whilst in the gym.

Demi also took on Jimmy’s Best Friends Challenge. The duo took it in turns to pick questions from a box and tried to match their answers. Despite not getting any correct answers, the game gave the pair (and the audience) several laughs and we also learnt a lot about them. Who knew that Belle is Jimmy’s go-to Disney Princess? And that Demi would pick The Walking Dead to binge watch? Check out their Best Friends Challenge in full below.

Of course, Demi couldn’t leave without performing her hit single ‘Sorry Not Sorry’. Donned in a red jumpsuit and sparkly silver shoes, Demi looked every inch a superstar as she belted out the sassy track. Joined by dancers and a gospel choir, Demi showed off her powerful vocals perfectly and delivered quite possibly our favourite performance of ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ yet!

Demi Lovato’s forthcoming album, Tell Me You Love Me, is due for release on September 29.
