It’s been a while since Diamond White has released new music, but the wait has totally been worth it as “Love Songs 4”, which was dropped last Friday, is a tune we can’t quite get over. It’s one we could easily listen to on repeat, all day long. The track follows up her previous track “Ringtone“, released in July 2018, which featured Olivia O’Brien.
Diamond White is best known for being a contestant on the second season of the US version of The X Factor. She was put on Britney Spears’ team of Teens, where she made it to the live shows – she came in fifth place. Since then, she has been building up her music career, releasing awesome songs and an EP. We still simply adore “Empty Cup”. For many years, she has been acting, appearing in the films Boo! A Madea Halloween and Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, as well as taking on voice roles in the TV series’ The Lion Guard, Pinky Malinky, Sofia The First, and Transformers: Rescue Bots; as well as appearing on Sing It! She is certainly one to watch in the entertainment world especially as she is juggling both an acting career and a singing career.
This song, according to Spotify, was written by Brian Kennedy Seals, Deondre Collins, Diamond White, and Jalen Hill. Bringing something completely new to the table whilst still identifiably herself, Diamond White impresses to no end on “Love Songs 4” and we are hoping for more songs in this style is lined up with an EP, or even an album – we can hope.
Going for a more R&B sound, Diamond White shows off her incredible voice and her co-writing skills. No one can deny her soulful voice on this track which is reminiscent of her previous tracks. “Love Songs 4” is beaty and rhythmically groovy, whilst Diamond White’s voice is full of meaning and her falsetto is on point. She reminds us of a young JoJo especially her second single “Baby It’s You” with Bow Wow. Lyrically, Diamond White’s song is about love, finding the guy who will keep her stable in her ups and downs, and she’s come to finally understand why people write love songs for. She clearly drew inspiration from her current relationship with the artist CARTER. It’s a clever track, and one that’s rich with emotion throughout.
