Former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers and actress/presenter Denise Van Outen are among the all-star cast confirmed for Big the Musical.
It was announced in April that Strictly Come Dancing Champion and The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness would be leading the cast, starring as Josh Baskin. Today, further casting was announced with Vickers and Van Outen among the famous faces. Vickers, who has previously starred in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, will be taking on the role of Susan Lawrence whilst Van Outen, whose previous credits include Chicago, will star as Mrs Baskin.

They will be joined by West End star Gary Wilmot, who rose to fame on New Faces, as George MacMillan. The Hoosiers’ Irwin Sparkes also joins the cast as Paul.
The show is a musical adaptation of the film made famous by Tom Hanks, in which Josh Baskin, a 12 year old boy, grows up overnight after his wish is granted by a Zoltar Speaks machine.
The production opens at Plymouth’s Theatre Royal and will run from 5 to 12 November, before moving to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin, running from December 7 to January 7 2017. The show will also open in London’s West End sometime next year.
