One of 2018’s hottest collaborations, End Of The World x Epik High’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’, has been given the remix treatment by UK producer and remix specialist Digital Farm Animals.
Digital Farm Animals, who’s produced hits for the likes of Noah Cyrus, Alan Walker Louis Tomlinson, Bebe Rexha and Galantis brings a hopeful energy that perfectly complements the original’s catchy hook and uncertain lyrics. Vocalist Fukase’s breathy vocals build in a bittersweet crescendo, aided by euphoric synths, crisp snares and expertly layered vocal samples, transforming the stripped-back R&B into a slick piece of electronic pop. This remix follows on from Clean Bandit’s reworking of ‘Stargazer’ earlier in 2018, which in turn succeeded End Of The World’s remix of their 2016 #1 megahit ‘Rockabye’.
Made up of childhood friends Nakajin (group leader, lead guitar, sound production), Fukase (lead vocals, group conceptualist), Saori (stage production, piano), and the masked clown DJ LOVE (sonic palette, comedic stage banter), End Of The World’s music tackles complicated themes of love, friendship and suicide, often inspired by Fukase’s own mental health problems.
