What a team-up right here. This is one collaboration and a half, that is sure to blow your mind. It sees Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – the second biggest DJs in the world according to DJ Mag – team up with internationally renowned DJ, David Guetta, and one of the world’s biggest Latin artists, Daddy Yankee, for a single titled “Instagram” which features rising stars Afro Bros and Natti Natasha. It doesn’t get better than that! This single release follows up Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s collaboration with Paris Hilton, titled “Best Friend’s Ass”; David Guetta’s single “Stay (Don’t Go Away)” which featured Raye; Daddy Yankee’s collaboration with Wisin y Yandel, titled “Si Supieras”; Afro Bros’ collaboration with Sean Kingston, titled “How Many Times”; and Natti Natasha’s remix of her album track “Deja Tus Besos” with Chencho Corleone as well as her collaborative single with Sebastián Yatra, Daddy Yankee, and the Jonas Brothers on the track “Runaway“.
The Belgian DJ brothers, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, whose real names are Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios, have been unstoppable in recent years, topping DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs in 2015 and placing second in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018, as well as winning several awards. They’ve claimed various chart hits around the world and are set to claim more as the future years go by. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are certainly on top of their game, and we can’t get enough of their music. We also managed to exclusively interview them about their 2018 single “When I Grow Up” and working with Wiz Khalifa on that track.
Teaming up with them is the legendary international DJ, David Guetta – who is currently fifth on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs list. This French DJ needs no introduction as he’s known globally due to number one hits and plenty of collaborations with the likes of Rihanna, Sia, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo, Usher, Kelly Rowland, the list is endless. This isn’t the first time the trio have got together, they previously released the track “Complicated”, featuring Kiiara, back in 2017, which managed to chart all over the world and is currently Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s biggest hit and most-streamed song on Spotify. Could this team-up, for the second time, bring just as much success? We’ll have to wait and see.
Adding a bit of Latin flavour to the track is Daddy Yankee, real name Ramón Rodríguez. He’s a staple in Latin music and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry. He hit it big internationally in 2004 with his song “Gasolina”, and it wasn’t until 13 years later when he collaborated with Luis Fonsi that he became a global success a second time around, this time with the track “Despacito”. He continues to show that he’s not going anywhere and he really has proven his longevity in the music industry.
The two featured artists on the track are rising stars. Afro Bros, who are a dutch duo consisting of Giordano Ashruf and Rashid Badloe, have been going strong in the music industry for some time now, but recently signed with Spinnin’ Records – which explains their collaboration with Sean Kingston earlier this year. Their biggest hit to-date is “18 Plus” which was the track that kickstarted their success in the music industry leading them to collaborate with the likes of Major Lazer, J Balvin, and Nicky Jam. They’re certainly a DJ duo to keep watching; yet, they’re not the only artist from this collaboration to keep an eye on; Natti Natasha is certainly getting her name out there. Her real name is Natalia Batista and she comes from the Dominican Republic. She started her career by being featured on Don Omar’s track “Dutty Love”, Farruko’s track “Crazy In Love”, and again with Don Omar on “Perdido en Tus Ojos”; by doing so she gained popularity in the US Latin music industry, enough that by 2017 she dropped her debut single “Otra Cosa” with Daddy Yankee. Her career has grown since then and she’s quickly becoming a rising Latin star especially with hits “Criminal” with Ozuna and “Sin Pinjama” with Becky G, behind her. This is her second big collaboration in a row, having teamed up with Sebastián Yatra, Daddy Yankee, and the Jonas Brothers on the track “Runaway” just a few weeks ago. We can’t wait to see what Natti Natasha does next.
According to Spotify, this addicting new song has been written by Angemi, David Guetta, Dimitri Thivaios, Francesca Richard, Giordano M.S. Ashruf, Michael Thivaios, Natalia Alexandra Gutierrez Batista, Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez, Rashid M.S. M Badloe, and Sharef M.R. Badloe. It has been produced by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, and Afro Bros. Be prepared to hear a track that you’ll absolutely love upon first listen and one you’ll have on repeat for a while. The music video coincides well with the track and certainly deserves more traction.

From the get-go, Natti Natasha brings sure-fire vocals to the track, they’re full of sass and power throughout, proving to the world that she deserves to be an international star. Her vocals are perfection in every aspect of that word as the song progresses and with her recent collaborations, we expect her career to flourish – she’s worked hard to get here and we have no doubt that she’ll be a name we all know and love very soon. Lyrically the song is fuelled with female empowerment and Natti Natasha brings it full force – she is completely fierce during the chorus of the track. This is one of those songs we all need in our lives, especially when you’re on a night out and you just want to have a good time with your friends; especially women who are on a girls night out and don’t want to be approached by men who want to hook up. As for the production, it’s clear that Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, and Afro Boys know how to make a club hit, it’s got a groovy vibe with a subtle drop, and plenty of addicting beats running throughout.
Now for the epic music video. Talk about giving a narrative and performance visual in one. The video opens up with a guy on a beach who stumbles across a phone, which displays Natti Natasha’s Instagram – which has over 15 million followers – and he clicks on one of her images; the camera then pans out and we switch over to a scene of Natti Natasha on a yacht. Various scenes continue but the main one is of Natti Natasha walking down a road where cars with male drivers pull up alongside her presumedly offering her a lift, she turns them all down until a woman driver appears with many female passengers, and Natti Natasha gets in. They soon receive a message from David Guetta telling them that he is hosting a pool party. We next switch over to Daddy Yankee who is performing his verse on a cliff’s edge, which people are watching on Instagram’s live feature – including Natti Natasha. They all end up at David Guetta’s pool party and they all have a great time. There’s also a scene where they’re inside, on a dancefloor, with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike spinning the track on the DJ deck. Throughout the party scene, Natti Natasha’s phone is taken out of her hands and gets passed around to record videos. The ending scene sees a group of women at the beach with Natti Natasha’s phone, which they subsequently drop into the water without any care, leading right back to the start of the video.
