It’s been just under a month since Franka was announced as Croatia’s representative to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. At the same time, the song’s title was also announced, although it was unheard by the public, until now.
The song was officially released about a week ago, after plenty of teasers. It has been written by Branimir Mihaljevic and Franka Batelic; and, features quite the stunning single artwork. A music video was also released to accompany the track, which was directed by Sandra Mihaljevic and Igor Ivanovic.

The song plays on the strengths of her voice, whilst including a very-current talking verse that has been popular in pop music for quite a few years. As for the music video, it shows a bit of her performance style, which could certainly look amazing on the Eurovision stage, if done correctly.
Croatia is hoping for a win as they have never won the Eurovision Song Contest. Last year saw Jacques Houdek represent the country, and was known as the opera singer who duetted with himself. He sang “My Friend” and placed 13th in the Grand Final, with 141 points. The country’s best placing has been fourth, in 1996 with Maja Blagdan who sang “Sveta ljubav”.
