You might not be familiar with the name ROZES, but it’s almost certain that you’ve already heard her soaring vocals.
The singer-songwriter, born as Elizabeth Mencel, rose to prominence last year after she was hand-picked to co-write and sing on The Chainsmokers’ global top 40 track ‘Roses’. Teaming up with the hottest EDM duo in the world right now allowed her sultry vocals to shine, with the track being streamed over 437 MILLION times on Spotify. She also performed the song at the Billboard Hot 100 Music festival at Jones Beach, and made appearances on The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
However, ROZES’ career began a while before her collab with The Chainsmokers. In September 2014, she released her debut single ‘Everything’, which received rave reviews from critics. In the same year, her vocals were featured on Just a Gent’s ‘Limelight’.
ROZES went on to release two more powerful singles, ‘In and Out’, and ‘R U Mine’, which Idolator described as a “soaring synth pop anthem,” and “a great track made even better by the sheer quality of her voice.”
Fast forward to 2016, and ROZES has continued to deliver incredible solo material as well as another huge feature. Her powerful vocals came through on her EP Burn Wild and single ‘Hangin’ On’. The songstress also features on Big Gigantic and Logic’s ‘All Of Me’, which has already garnered over 6.2 million streams on Spotify.
ROZES’ latest single ‘Under The Grave’ is set to catapult her into super stardom. Amassing over 1.3 million streams in a mere fortnight, ‘Under The Grave’ is a slick piece of electronic pop with an absolute banger of a chorus. With her powerful vocals and clever lyrics, we guarantee that the track’s catchy hook will be instantly imprinted in your memory.
ROZES is a pop force to be reckoned with. We have no doubt that now is her time to break free and truly shine in her own right. The whole world is soon going to want a piece of this flower crown goddess.
