DNCE joined Demi Lovato on stage in LA Thursday night to perform the bands hit song ‘Toothbrush’.
Lovato and DNCE were co-headlining a private concert at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles.
The exclusive show, part of Marriott Rewards’ on-property concert series with Universal Music, saw a portion of LA shut down.
Speaking ahead of the concert, DNCE front man Joe Jonas told Billboard “we have iconic venues like the Staples Center behind us and we’re getting to play outside in downtown L.A. and play kind of our own block party.”
DNCE kicked off the show, performing songs from their EP SWAAY, as well as a mash up of TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ and Drake’s ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home.’
The American pop rock band closed their set by performing hit single ‘Cake By The Ocean’.
Demi was next on stage performing recent hits ‘Confident’ and ‘Stone Cold’, before bringing DNCE back out to perform ‘Toothbrush’.
Speaking to People Magazine before the concert Demi explained she and Joe shared a special bond having grown up together in the spotlight.
“We really bonded when we were younger and toured together. We’ve all watched each other evolve and grow up, and we’ve been able to be there for one another, it’s awesome.”
The ‘Skyscraper’ singer tweeted fans after the show revealing she wasn’t walking around much during her set because of a recently sprained ankle.
Walking in stilettos with a freshly sprained ankle sucks so bad ?
