Miguel Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has cast Dove Cameron for its upcoming fifth season. The news came from Cameron’s Instagram post and was then reposted by Marvel and the official Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. account.
Cameron’s fans were hoping for her to be cast as Sabrina Spellman in The CW’s Riverdale. However, that may be less likely depending on whether or not she becomes a series regular.
It is still unclear as to what role Dove Cameron will play in the show. What we do know is that the new season will take Phil Coulson and the gang into outer space.
Dove Cameron’s Instagram Post Teasing Her Role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The fact that the show is being so secretive about Dove Cameron’s role may point to her portraying a character from Marvel’s comics. However, it is also possible that she will play an entirely new and original character.
This season also marks the return of Nick Blood as Lance Hunter after his departure from the show in Season 3.
Season 5 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will premiere on Friday, December 1 at 8 pm ET on ABC in the U.S. or on Channel 4 in the U.K.
