Get ready to watch a sci-fi masterpiece! Dua Lipa has unveiled an alternative music video for her smash hit ‘Be The One’ and it’s seriously out of this world!
The new promotional clip for the track was directed by Daniel Kaufman and it stars Ansel Elgort as Dua’s on-screen love interest. The American actor previously played Caleb in Divergent and he’s also famous for his portrayal of Gus in The Fault in Our Stars.
In the newly released ‘Be The One’ video, Ansel chases Dua after a heated altercation. When he finally catches up with her, we realise that things aren’t quite as ordinary as they seem. We won’t spoil it for you but the futuristic visuals are well worth watching.
Sharing Dua’s new music video online, Ansel Elgort tweeted: “Dua made me run and yell and go crazy for her new video of ‘Be The One.’ I even dyed my hair black.”
Dua recently spoke to V Magazine about the new visuals for the track. She said: “I’m so excited to have had the opportunity to release a new video for ‘Be The One.’ It gave me a chance to showcase the song in a different light. I was also lucky to have Ansel Elgort in the video. It was so inspiring to watch him work.”
‘Be The One’ is currently available here on iTunes. The much-loved single has already accumulated over 60 million Spotify streams and the original music video for the song has now been viewed more than 80 million times on Youtube.
It’s certainly been a fantastic year for Dua Lipa. The ‘Hotter Than Hell’ singer is easily one of the UK’s biggest breakout stars and she’s recently been nominated for the BRITs 2017 Critics’ Choice Award. The winner will be announced on the 8th December.
With her eagerly-anticipated debut album set for release on the 10th February next year, 2017 is sure to be another huge year for Dua. We look forward to hearing more of the rising star’s original material. Long may Dua Lipa’s success continue!
