Ed Sheeran has released the music video for his single “Galway Girl”.
On 3rd March, Ed Sheeran released his album Divide and Galway Girl instantly became ‘one of the favourite tracks’ for most people.
Divide takes up the tune of the places Sheeran writes about and “Galway Girl” is no different. Galway is famous for its traditional pubs and Irish folk music, both of which can be seen in the music video.
The music video is “shot by Ed Sheeran” and shows the viewer Galway from his perspective. He has an enthusiastic guide who takes him around the town as they party together and meet fans at different spots in the city.
Oscar nominated Saoirse Ronan stars in the video as the ‘Galway Girl’. She and Sheeran filmed the video in the City of Tribes two weeks before his Irish concerts last month. Ronan looks amazing and beautifully engages viewers in the music video.
Both the song and the video have got good vibes. If you want to pick a track to dance to, “Galway Girl” seems a perfect choice. Check out the music video below:
