It might have been only three months since Ed Sheeran announced he’d be starting his own record label, aptly titled Gingerbread Man Records, but so far, things have been going pretty great.
His first signing, singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson, not only got to open up for One Direction on their On The Road Again Tour, undoubtedly winning over the hearts of thousands, he also topped the UK charts with his self-titled album last month.
This morning, Ed Sheeran turned to twitter to let us know he signed another act to Gingerbread Man Records, and it’s no one less than Foy Vance, who has been touring with Ed in the past.

You might know Foy Vance’s “Homebird” and “Gabriel and the Vagabond”, as both were featured in Grey’s Anatomy’s second season. And if you’re an Ed Sheeran fan, you’ve probably heard them duet on Ed’s “Kiss Me” on Foy Vance’s “Guiding Light”.

Foy’s most recent album Joy of Nothing was released in August 2013 but no worries, the recording for his first Gingerbread Man Records release is already underway and the new album is set to be released in spring 2016. In the meantime, you can catch Foy Vance in Australia and New Zealand, where he’s supporting both Ed Sheeran and Elton John. You can find the full list of tour dates here.
