Back in January 2011, Ed Sheeran released an EP called No.5 Collaborations Project. It was the fifth EP out of the five EPs he released back then, with the hope of being signed by a record label. (Aw, Ed, look at you now!)
No.5 Collaborations Project featured songs like ‘Little Lady’, which was a collaboration with English rapper Mikill Pane, ‘Radio’ with JME, and one of our personal favourites, ‘Drown Me Out’ featuring Ghetts.
If you’ve never heard No.5 Collaborations Project, check it out below.
Now, Ed has announced that No.6 Collaborations Project is on the way, and that he’s been working on it since last year while on tour. It’s set to release on July 12th worldwide this year!
Just a week ago, Ed released a track with Justin Bieber, titled ‘I Don’t Care’. Initially, we thought Ed was just excited to release something from his works – we didn’t expect it to be a part of No.6 Collaborations Project!
A music video for ‘I Don’t Care’ was also released, featuring Ed and Justin being edited onto random things whilst Ed also wore a “giant panda suit”.
The adorable music video was directed by Emil Nava, thank you for your hard work!:
Three days ago, Ed also posted a picture of another song title, ‘Cross Me’, with the featured artists’ names crossed out on Instagram. He asked us to guess who they were and artists like 5 Seconds of Summer and Shawn Mendes were named.
Just now, it was confirmed by Ed himself that the two artists are Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock. On a scale of one to ten, how excited are you for new Ed Sheeran music? It’s an eleven for us!
We bet that the songs will be the best ones Ed has released, and that they’ll all be driving songs, songs to listen to when it’s raining, and also songs you’d want to listen to live.
Here’s the link to Ed’s latest Instagram post, and be sure to check out his Instagram stories too!
No.6 Collaborations Project will be available for pre orders starting midnight tonight, 24th May 2019, alongside the release of ‘Cross Me’.

We’re counting down days until July 12th, mark your calendars, too!
