Earlier, we informed you that the new trailer for the seventh season has been released. But that’s not it. On Sunday, one more new announcement was made for the show.
A new member is joining the show for the seventh season. On Sunday, the showrunners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, along with Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner announced at SXSW that for the seventh season, the show will have Ed Sheeran as a guest star. Yes, you heard it right!
“For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie, and this year we finally did it,” Benioff said during a panel at the Austin, Texas festival. Maisie Williams is a huge fan of Sheeran.
As per Variety, no details or storyline for Sheeran’s role were revealed. Ed Sheeran has recently released his album “Divide” which is already topping the charts. It will be worthwhile to see what role will Sheeran take on the show.
