Nashville-based electronic artist Effin releases his latest creation, “Get It On,” a potent blend of samples from the ‘50s and ‘70s with his signature dynamic bass style.
Effin explains, “‘Get it On’ is a tease of everything to come from me. A vintage explosion of sound, this one has been a staple in my sets. It’s a collage of decades of sound brought into the 21st century. This one’s built for the road and meant to be played loud.”
Not only does “Get It On” provide listeners with a sample of Effin’s nonconformist sound design, but it delivers an appetizer for his debut album set for release later this year.
Although Effin’s raw talent and drive towards his creative endeavors were always present, he has only recently realized that music isn’t just a passion, but a way of life. With this newfound ambition and desire to succeed in the world of music, Effin hopes to create a sense of community among his listeners.
While working tirelessly every day on his forthcoming album, Effin realized that he did not want a barrier behind his songs – he wanted to create a collage in which he put his own twist on classics he’s known and loved.
Along with millions of streams, including singles such as “Cabbage,” “Beef,” and “Drugs,” Effin has garnered support from superstars like NGHTMRE, Excision, and Apashe.
“Get It On” opens on a funky, pop beat flowing into thick washes of deep tones topped by stuttering, luminous textures, and powerful vocals. An organ-filled breakdown presages a dazzling run-up to heavy layers of sound brimming with percolations and knocking accents.
At once innovative and chockfull of heavy bass, “Get It On” thrums with heaving energy, contagious momentum, and incredible creativity.
