Emily Warren has unveiled the music video for her debut single ‘Hurt By You’, which was released in May.
The video is an understated affair, with Emily performing the song in a recording studio. However, it isn’t just any old studio. Emily was fortunate enough to record the visual in the iconic Sun Studios in Memphis, which has entertained the likes of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
Whilst vising Sun Studios ahead of her show with The Chainsmokers, Emily asked the man at the front if they could film there. He turned out to be the owner and welcomed her back to the studio to record after the show! The rest, as they say, is history. Emily was able to record her debut music video in a magical location, playing the same piano that Elvis had one played, and singing into the very same mic. Dreams do come true!

Speaking about ‘Hurt By You’ in our interview last month, Emily said: “I wrote “Hurt By You” with my homies Scott Harris and Nick Ruth, and the concept sprung from a conversation we had in which I was telling them how I was scared at the time making myself vulnerable to the person I was falling in love with, when every example of a relationship in my life seemed to fail – whether it be divorce, or infidelity. It seemed crazy of me to think that my own relationship would be exempt from the same issues. This song, however, is a reminder to myself that falling in love with the right person is worth whatever risk you might be taking.”
Emily Warren is a superstar in the making, and we’re truly excited by her journey thus far. Having made a name for herself as a prolific songwriter, she has written some of the biggest music hits in recent years. Additionally, she has featured on a number of songs including tracks on The Chainsmokers’ album Memories…Do Not Open. However, Emily is destined to be an artist in her own right, and having launched her solo career with ‘Hurt By You’, we’re predicting even bigger things to come for this talented lady.
