The Nightmare Before Christmas is a stop-motion animated film directed by Henry Selick, produced by Tim Burton.

Originally released by Disney back in 1993, the darkly enchanting film follows Jack Skellington, the ‘Pumpkin King’ of Halloween Town, who stumbles upon Christmas Town and becomes captivated by the holiday’s warmth and cheer. In his excitement, Jack decides to take over Christmas, with his own spooky twist, leading to humorous and sometimes eerie consequences.

The movie’s blend of Halloween and Christmas themes, iconic characters like Sally, Oogie Boogie, and Zero the ghost dog, as well as Danny Elfman’s hauntingly memorable music, have made it a beloved cult classic. It’s celebrated for its unique art style, stop-motion animation, and exploration of themes like identity, purpose, and belonging.
