Earlier this year, we told you that Episode would be launching a brand new interactive mobile story based on Pitch Perfect. Well, Barden Bellas fans – the wait is finally over.
Pitch Perfect in Deep Treble launches today (December 1) and we couldn’t be more excited. Produced in collaboration with Universal Brand Development, the interactive story gives users the chance to become a part of the Pitch Perfect universe. You will star alongside some of your favourite Bellas, whilst competing against the Treblemakers.
The official press release states: “After having defeated Das Sound Machine at the World Championships, it seems like nothing can stop the graduating Bellas and their new recruits from total aca-domination. But when a routine riff-off between the Bellas and the Treblemakers devolves into an epic brawl, Barden University’s dean—fed up with the longtime rivalry between the two—declares that the campus isn’t big enough for both groups.
“You and your beloved Bellas will go head-to-head with the Treblemakers for the right to stay at Barden University in an aca-competition to end all competitions. You’ll compete alongside some of your favorite characters to keep the Bellas together—all to uphold the musical legacy built by Beca, Fat Amy, and the Bellas before them.”
Anna Kendrick, who stars as Beca in the franchise, stated why she was excited to work with this project. “It’s cool that after five years of Pitch Perfect being around, people are still eager for more ways to interact with the movie and the Bellas. A new story on Episode gives people another way to enter the world of Pitch Perfect. Plus, it seemed like this whole smartphone trend wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon, so I thought I’d try and get in on the action.”

Having already worked with the likes of Mean Girls, Pretty Little Liars and Demi Lovato to create unique Episode mobile stories, it’s certain that Pitch Perfect in Deep Treble will be just as successful.
Pitch Perfect in Deep Treble is released on Epsiode ahead of the latest movie, Pitch Perfect 3, which is out on December 22. The film stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hana Mae Lee, Ester Dean, Alexis Knapp, Chrissie Fit, Kelley Jakle, Shelley Regner, Elizabeth Banks, John Michael Higgins, John Lithgow and Ruby Rose.
