    Eurovision 2017: Hungary Announces 30 Shortlisted Artists

    The participants of A Dal 2017, the Hungarian Eurovision national selection, have been officially announced today during a press conference.

    More than 300 entries were submitted for the local competition. It was then down to a ten member jury to select the 30 best artists.

    The list includes several singers who have already participated in previous years, including Benji, Olivér Berkes, Gigi Radics and more. András Kállay Saunders represented Hungary as a solo act in 2014 with “Running”, but now he also appears on the list along with his band.

    There will now be three quarter finals starting on 14 January, followed by two semi finals before the Hungarian representative for Kijev is decided at the A Dal 2017 Final on 18 February. The result will be decided by four jurors.

    This is the list of artists competing in A Dal 2017:

    10. Kállay Saunders Band – 17
    11. Gina Kanizsa – Fall Like Rain
    12. AnnaElsa ft. Juli Kása – Jártam
    13. Leander Kills – Élet
    14. Mrs. Columbo – Frozen King
    15. Zoltán Mujahid – On My Own
    16. Enik? Muri – Jericho
    17. Benjámin Pál – Father’s Eyes
    18. Joci Pápai – Be kell csuknod a szemed
    19. Peet Project – Kill Your Monster
    20. Gigi Radics – See It Through
    21. Roma Soul – Nyitva a ház
    22. Orsolya Sapszon – Hunyd le a szemed
    23. Viki Singh – Rain
    24. Soulwave – Kalandor
    25. Spoon21 – Deák
    26. Ádám Szabó – Together
    27. Szabyest – Szerelem kell
    28. The Wings – Mint a hurrikán
    29. Andi Tóth – I’ve Got A Fire
    30. TOTOVA – Hosszú idok

    In last year’s Eurovision, Gábor Alfréd Fehérvári (aka Freddie) represented the country with his hit “Pioneer”, and finished in 19th place.

    Now we can’t wait to find out who will be Hungary’s Eurovision 2017 contestant.
