The first Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 took place last night (14 May 2018) and what a fierce competition it was. A total of 17 acts represented their countries on stage, but only 10 could go through.
We knew it was going to be a tough competition and there were some surprises. Everyone has their favourites so it’s not a surprise that some of them didn’t make it to the Grand Final. We want to congratulate San Marino for managing to make it to the Grand Final – their second time since they debuted in 2008 – and the Czech Republic for managing to make it to the Grand Final too – their third time since they debuted in 2007.
Others we want to give special mentions to are; Australia who keeps their 100% success rate of making it to the Grand Final, and Iceland for making a return to the Grand Final after four years of not qualifying.
Here are all 10 Semi-Final 1 acts who made the Grand Final. Do we have a winner amongst these acts? Why don’t you vote on our poll for your favourites? Or check out the CelebMix favourites and while you’re at it, why not check out the facts and stats of all the 41 entries this year.
