Eva Gutowski’s ‘Me and My Grandma’ Is Now Available On YouTube Red

YouTuber Eva Gutowski stars in the new original series Me and My Grandma, which has officially gone live on YouTube Red.

A girl named Janey (Eva Gutowski) travels with her Grandma (Rhea Perlman) to Los Angeles in hopes of becoming the next star. However, things take an unexpected twist when her Grandma lands an acting role instead of Janey. The two become each other’s competition as they embark on a fun-filled journey in Hollywood.

The series has six episodes in total, which are all available on the YouTube Red streaming service. Fans can watch the first episode titled “Palm Tree Montage” on Eva’s YouTube channel for free.

Co-stars Eva Gutowski and Rhea Perlman also stopped by the Today Show on Tuesday morning to discuss their new series. Eva said the inspiration to create the show came from her close relationship with her own Grandma, whom she lived with until college.

The interviewers also asked Emmy-Award-winning actress Rhea Perlman about what it was like to work on a platform such as YouTube. She thought “this could be so much fun” because YouTube reaches “a whole other segment of the population,” referring to the site’s relatively young audience. Watch the interview by clicking here.
