Evanescence will be back on the road this fall for a 16 date U.S tour! The band has been on hiatus since the 2012 Evanescence Tour, which was a follow up to their self-titled album released in 2011. Since then, guitarist Terry Balsamo left the band and has been replaced by Equilibrium guitarist Jen Majura. It has been a long wait for fans, but the group is back and excited to tour!
Frontwoman Amy Lee told Rolling Stone: “It’s going to feel amazing to step back onstage with the band this fall.” She went on to talk about the chemistry felt onstage:
We had such a tight gel solidifying onstage the last few shows, and were enjoying it so much, we were all lamenting that it was so short and have been on the lookout for more opportunities to play live.
Amy Lee is also working on a children’s album titled Dream Too Much, which will be available on September 30th. The album features twelve kid-friendly original songs and covers, such as Rubber Duckie and Hello Goodbye.
As for new music from Evanescence, nothing has been announced yet, but it is possible that this tour could spark the band’s return to the studio.
