Before we get into talking about his new material, we have to go back to the basics.
James Vincent McMorrow is a 33 year old, singer/songwriter from Ireland. His debut album, Early In The Morning, was released in Ireland back in 2010 and was then later released in the US and Europe in 2011 due to the success his album was obtaining. In 2012, he released an EP entitled We Don’t Eat. This album featured his hit “We Don’t Eat” from his debut album, a cover of “Higher Love” by Steve Winwood, and a cover of “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak. All of which are complete masterpieces of music. Later, in 2014, he released his second album, Post Tropical, which includes his hit song, “Glacier”.
Now, lets talk about the present.
James Vincent McMorrow has had all kinds of success in 2016. This may just be his best year yet! Much to our delight, he collaborated with Kygo and now they have a track together on Kygo’s debut album, Cloud Nine. In addition to featuring on a killer song, James’s cover of “Wicked Game” was used in the first, official, full-length trailer for the sixth season of HBO’s Game Of Thrones.
“CelebMix, I thought we were going to talk about James’s new album?” Sheesh! We were getting there! But just because we love our readers, we will chat about his new album now.
James’s new album is called We Move and it comes out this Friday, September 2nd. He has released two songs off the album so far and both songs absolutely excellent!

Back in July, James released the first song off his album, “Rising Water”. This R&B song includes a combination of a strong baseline and flawless falsetto vocals. Many reviews have described the song as refreshing and we couldn’t agree more. “Rising Water” has proved to the world that this album is going to go down in history.
The response to Rising Water has been immense. Thank you.

On August 18, James released a second song off of his new album entitled “Get Low”. James’s enticing vocals, a bit of guitar, and some soft drum beats are all key components to this soulful piece. On this track, he even had help from Drake’s producer, Nineteen85. James has really done it with this song, yet again, proving his new album is going to be extraordinary.
Stoked to share Get Low with the world. @Nineteen85 on production.

Most recently (August 23rd), James released a track off the album entitled, “Killer Whales”. Upon the release of “Killer Whales”, James said, “This track really speaks to me and I wanted to share before it gets lost in the album shuffle.” The background vocals in this track truly complete the song and elevate it to a whole new level. This song is yet another soulful, unique, piece of perfection.
