British country music duo Holloway Road have an exciting year ahead of them with a UK tour lined up, appearances at the prestigious C2C (Country to Country) Festival booked, and new music on its way.

    Here we speak exclusively to Holloway Road about their upcoming tour and C2C slots;

You will be touring the UK this year, which city are you most excited about visiting?
We can’t wait to head out on the road in February. We always have a great time in Glasgow. The people there just seem to have a buzz about them and they all have a great sense of humour too. Manchester is also like a second home to us. Can we be excited about all of them?

How do you feel the UK country audience is now responding to the genre?
We think its very mixed as to people enjoying how the genre is evolving. Country music has always had a lot of reincarnations over the last 5-10 decades or so but right now especially in the UK its as strong as its ever been so it has to be doing something right.

C2C has played a major part in the growth of UK country, how excited are you to be performing there this year?
This will be our 4th year in a row not including the 2017 C2C launch party. Its great that they keep having us back. As the audience grows we get to see a lot more new faces every year and so we grow too. Last year was incredible for us so we are so excited to get back out on stage.

What can fans expect from your live shows?
The February tour will be a lot more stripped back and intimate and we hope to show a different side to us. As far as a full band C2C show goes they can expect a set packed full of catchy songs and lots of energy.

What’s the best and worst thing about touring?
Best thing is being on stage every night and the worst is trying to find a parking space close enough to the venue.

When can we expect an album from you?
We are still biding our time, building the fanbase and writing lots to be able to pounce at the right time. We want to makes sure there are as many people possible that are going to hear it.

Will you be premiering any new music on tour or at C2C?
We are hoping for a half split of new music and old.

What is it like to see the C2C crowd grow year-on-year?
Amazing. We can’t wait to hang out again this year and see some even newer faces. Think we were left a bit speechless after last years performance.

Which acts do you want to catch live this year at the festival?
Russel Dickerson , Jillian Jacqueline , Ashley McBryde, Catherine McGrath, and so many more… Hoping to catch something we have never head too.

Tickets for Holloway Road’s UK tour are on sale now! Make sure you follow the duo on Twitter @Hollowayroaduk to keep up to date with all their latest music and tour news.
