The track is lifted his forthcoming EP ‘Life, Love and Death’ which is due to drop this Autumn.

Here we speak exclusively to Austin David about his new music, future plans, dream collaborations and much, much more.

Growing up who inspired your love of music?

Definitely Bob Marley at around 5 years old. Then when I heard Nirvana’s ‘Teen Spirit’ in the early 90s it was all over. That song hit me right between the eyes.

Can you remember the name of the first song you ever listened to?

Probably Bob Marley’s ‘3 Little Birds’.

When did you realise you wanted to pursue music as a career?

When I got Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album in the early 90s. I bought a bass guitar. I was determined to recreate vibes that powerful.

If you could collaborate with any artist who would you choose?

Paul McCartney. He’s the living legend. The best of the best.

What is the main inspiration behind your new single ‘Find Me A New Way’?

Feeling stuck and hopeless, but staying-trying-to stay optimistic and keep a sense of humor through it all.

Can fans expect an album from you soon?

They can expect an EP [‘Life, Love and Death’] in November 2017 with subsequent single releases to follow. I feel like the era of the album is over. People want singles now-a-days. Something they can throw into a playlist with other artists.

Do you have any touring plans lined up?

Yes. I am working on a national tour in early 2018 with Nashville’s Mike Marsden. The tour will be called “Rise in the West” More info to be announced soon.

What do you hope to achieve over the next ten years?

I’d like to win a Grammy. Make a handsome living while playing music. Inspire others. Write a ton of successful songs. Maybe get into producing. Have a song in a super bowl commercial. Own a cabin in Colorado and a house in L.A.
