Chloe Adams, one of the latest signings to Warner Music, has released her first track ‘Never Been Kissed’ which is a super sassy pop belter, that we know you will be obsessed with. With the track featuring on BBC Radio 1’s Best New Pop Guide, we thought we’d take the time to sit down and have a chat with Chloe about the single.
CM: Hey, Chloe, you’re the new girl on the block and you’re already achieving great things! How are you?
CA: Hey there! That’s really nice of you to say. I’m doing great thanks. It’s great to finally show my music to the world.
CM: Your first track, Never Been Kissed is such a catchy pop tune, can you describe to our readers what the song is about?
CA: Thank you! Well, the story behind Never Been Kissed is the story between my first ‘kiss’ and my REAL kiss. I like to describe it as the way when I kissed someone special for the first time, it felt as though any silly ‘playground’ kisses before were meaningless. It also has a little story about the fact when we would have stupid fights… the kiss would always take me back to the start and remind me of why we were so good together!
CM: It’s a great concept for a song, we love it! But did you have a particular inspiration when writing this song?
CA: Yes, I can think back to a specific person who had the influence behind the story… but that’s for me to know!
CM: It was worth a shot!! So who would you say your ultimate all time musical influences are?
CA: I’ve found myself obsessed with so many different artists. Taylor Swift was someone who I always looked up to, and the reason I wanted to play the guitar! I’ve always loved pop music, and artists who really put on a show like Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and I also loved ABBA a lot as a kid!
CM: So your song, Never Been Kissed has been featured on BBC Radio 1’s Best New Pop, which is incredible! How does it feel being featured on such a prestigious platform?
CA: It’s a crazy feeling to think that the little melody I hummed along to on my guitar in my bedroom, has made it onto thousands of peoples radios!
CM: We truly love the song here at CelebMix, and can’t wait to hear more from you. Have you got any exciting news coming up?
CA: I can’t wait to do live shows for you guys! You’ll also see my music soon in an upcoming movie!
