Multi-platinum producer and songwriter, Jonas Blue, has announced he will embark on a tour across the UK and Ireland in 2020, entitled “The Blueprint”.
The dance-pop sensation will be bringing his electrifying live show to six different venues throughout March 2020, kicking it off in Glasgow and ending in Manchester.
Jonas Blue rose to fame in 2015 after his debut track and cover of Tracey Chapman’s Fast Car, became an instant smash hit and currently holds over 750 million Spotify streams.
Jonas Blue has since worked with worldwide music heavyweights including Tiësto and Rita Ora on Ritual, Jack & Jack on Rise, Liam Payne and Lennon Stella on Polaroid, and most recently, HRVY and Sam Roman on Younger, but the list goes on …and on!
The London-based producer has become a mainstage DJ, critically acclaimed songwriter and hit-maker, amassing over 8 billion global streams and 45 million singles sales to date.
Not only has he certified platinum over 120 times around the globe, his debut album, Blue – released in November 2018 – is now certified silver in the UK.
We got the chance to chat to Jonas Blue about “The Blueprint” tour, collaborating with Donae’o on hit, Bonita, his label Electronic Nature and all new music on the way before the start of a new decade!
Hey Jonas Blue! How are you?
Fine thanks! Happy to have a few days at home – which is rare. How are you?
I’m great thanks for asking! So, you’ve just announced “The Blueprint” UK & Ireland 2020 Tour. What’s the best thing about touring?
Seeing the fans sing along to the songs I’ve created – there’s honestly nothing more rewarding!
You recently dropped your single Younger with UK singer HRVY. What was it like working with him and Sam Roman on the song?
I wrote the song with Sam, who I’ve worked with on Mama, Polaroid and Rise, then knew after the song was written that HRVY was the right artist to feature. It was amazing working with both of them.
Aside from HRVY and Sam, you have worked with huge names in the industry. I won’t ask who your favourite is, but is there somebody you really enjoy working with?
Lennon Stella and JP Cooper have to be two of my favourites if we’re talking about vocals and how they sound in the studio. Both of their voices are so smooth and have such great emotion.
Who would you like to work with if you had to choose?
Shawn Mendes for sure; what a talent.
Would you ever consider collaborating with somebody from a completely different genre?
I actually recently produced and co-wrote a song called Bonita with Donae’o, which is definitely leaning into a completely different genre!
We are loving Bonita at the minute! So, what three tracks have you added to your playlist recently?
Younger (Punctual Remix)
Endor – Pump It Up
TCTS – Not Ready for Love
You’ve had a really successful career so far. What was it liked to be able to launch your own label “Electronic Nature”?
Great! I always wanted an output for my more club-based tracks and collaborations, and wanted to build the electronic nature brand, so it was a bit of a dream to launch the label.
2020 is almost here and you have just about covered everything you possibly can! But can fans expect anything new from you?
Yes for sure. More collaborations with global artists, more club tracks and something really special with an act from the U.S.
Finally, before the end of 2019, is there anything you want to achieve before the start of a new decade?
I have three more releases to come before the end of this year! So, I just want those to be released smoothly and for people to enjoy them!
