Nashville based country singer Logan Brill is no stranger to the UK music scene and has already won an army of British fans thanks to her appearances at Nashville Meets London and Country2Country Festival (C2C), alongside her sold out UK shows. And this October Logan Brill returns to Britain for a live-set at Country Music Week.
Here we speak exclusively to Logan Brill about her upcoming UK gig, new music, future plans and much, much more.
Your album ‘Shuteye‘ and single ‘World Still Round’ were released two years ago, can we expect new material from you soon?
Yes, I’ve spent a lot of the past year writing and preparing for a new project, so new [music] is definitely on the horizon!
‘World Still Round‘ was your debut UK release, how happy were you with the response from British fans?
I’ve been thrilled with the response from British fans. I feel like the song has been one that really resonated with people, both in the live show and on the record.
You’re performing at Country Music Week next month, how excited are you about performing in the UK again?
I’m really looking forward to being back for Country Music Week! It’s such a great line-up to be a part of, and I’m excited to reunite with some of the fans and friends I’ve met the past few times I’ve toured in the UK.
What can fans expect from your live set?
I like for my live show to be really high energy, but I always take a minute or two to strip things down and play some of the more intimate songs I’ve written. I want people to be able to let loose and have fun, but I also really love to connect with fans by having the opportunity to be a little more vulnerable and stripped down with the ballads.
Who are you looking forward to seeing perform at Country Music Week?
Little Big Town, Marty Stuart, and Eric Paslay to name a few. I really hope to catch a lot of the other acts while I’m there!
How do you you feel the genre of country music has grown in the UK since the last time you visited?
The first time I played in the UK in 2016 at Nashville Meets London, I was blown away with the presence and enthusiasm of country music fans there. It’s been really great to see the genre continue to grow with festivals like C2C and Country Music Week. I’ve started to recognize familiar faces of returning fans each time I come back, and the crowds seem to get bigger and better every time. It’s really inspiring to see.
Which UK acts are you listening to at the moment?
I’m a huge fan of Yola Carter who played with me at Nashville Meets London last year. Her sound is such a unique combination of soul and country.
If you could collaborate with any artist who would you choose?
I would love to collaborate with Bonnie Raitt. She’s such a huge influence of mine, especially in the way that I sing, so I would love to work with her at some point in my career.
What do you hope to achieve over the next ten years?
I hope to continue to tour, make records that I care about, and evolve as an artist. I want to do this for the rest of my life, so I hope to continue working towards building a long and successful career.
