Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a movie families and people of all ages have been waiting for ever since it was announced. As its official release date approaches, fans are eager to find out more about the plot and where the film takes each character from start to finish.
Madelyn Miranda, playing the role of six-year-old incarnated Dora, will be making her big motion picture debut on August 9, 2019, in cinemas across the nation.
In an exclusive interview with CelebMix, Madelyn opened up about her role in the film, career thus far and much more.
How has it been so far to be a part of the cast of Dora and the Lost City of Gold?
It’s been so awesome to be a part of the cast of the Dora movie because I was able to travel to Australia to film the movie and work with some really great actors. I also grew up watching the animated series Dora the Explorer and being able to put on her outfit and look so much like her was amazing and something I will never forget!
What is your favorite part about acting and taking on new roles?
My favorite part about acting and taking on new roles is being able to become someone different then myself and sometimes [also] being able to travel.
For those looking forward to the movie coming out in August, what can you tease about it?
The movie Dora and the Lost City of Gold is going to be a great summer movie for all ages. It will be a fun ride with lots of adventure!
What is one piece of advice you would give to people who aspire to have a career similar to yours?
The advice I would give them is to make sure you have a supportive family. It takes a lot of time to be an actor and you can’t give up because you will get lots of no’s before you finally get a yes.
If you could have been in any past movie or TV show, what would it be and why?
I would love to be in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies because I love their costumes and Jack Sparrow is such a funny character.
What is one interesting fact about yourself that fans may or may not know?
One interesting fact is that I love to try new things. One day while camping, my dad caught a fish and I ate the eyeballs.
